Owner - Founder

Nickie is the founder of Twisted originally established as Indulgence With a Twist in 2018. Built on a passion for supporting emerging talent the brand was created to provide a platform where artists of all ages could be nurtured promoted and celebrated within the music scene.

In 2021 she launched the Up & Comer Awards an initiative dedicated to recognising the dedication and achievements of DJs producers and MCs across multiple genres—further cementing her commitment to grassroots talent.

Through resilience and vision Nickie grew the brand year on year even during the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. During lockdown she pivoted to hosting live-streamed multi-genre music events bringing entertainment to those at home while raising funds for charitable causes.

In 2026 the brand evolved into Twisted marking a new chapter of growth expansion and identity. Today Nickie continues to drive the brand forward through events media and community initiatives including the development of Twisted Magazine a platform showcasing artists stories and voices from across the scene.

A passionate advocate for MIND and Rape & Sexual Violence Project Nickie actively uses her platform to raise awareness support those in need and give back to the community through fundraising and outreach.

Jack

Record & Radio Manager

Deeply inspired by the sounds of Drum & Bass, Jungle, House and Garage, Jack brings creativity energy and authenticity to everything Twisted represents. His commitment to the culture is reflected not only in his leadership but also in his artistic development. Having taken a massive interest in DJing Jack is progressing in leaps and bounds refining his craft through a series of dynamic mini mixes. These mixes showcase his evolving style and musical versatility and are available as free downloads on the Twisted SoundCloud and Mix Cloud pages.

Working closely with Nickie, Jack is focused on expanding the Twisted brand through innovative events strategic partnerships and equipment hire services. Together they are dedicated to creating opportunities for emerging talent while fostering an inclusive and supportive platform within the music industry.

Beyond business Jack is equally passionate about giving back. He plays an active role in Twisted’s charitable initiatives helping to raise awareness and funds for meaningful causes within the wider community. His drive enthusiasm and forward-thinking approach continue to strengthen Twisted’s reputation as a respected and influential force in the urban music scene.

Dave

Senior Manager - Tech Guru

We’re proud to welcome David also known as DJ Tech to the Twisted team as our Senior Manager and Tech Guru. Nickie has known Tech for around eight years and his knowledge experience and values make him a perfect fit for everything Twisted represents. Mental health lies at the heart of Twisted’s ethos and this aligns strongly with David’s own work and passions.

Alongside his music career David is actively involved with That Place For Events a mental-health-focused events and party hire company that reinvests its profits into Barge No. 9. This inspiring community project is transforming an old barge into a tea room, bar, restaurant and wellness space dedicated to supporting mental health, disadvantaged families, care leavers and older individuals facing loneliness.

In addition David runs his own events under the brand name RESET further showcasing his dedication to creating meaningful and inclusive experiences within the music and events industry.

Hex

Website Developer - IT Guru

Tijn (aka Hex / Hexagon) is a core part of the Twisted family having been there since the very beginning. Based near Amsterdam, Tijn first connected with Nickie back in 2005 through online live sets, bonding instantly over a shared love of Drum & Bass. That connection quickly grew into a long-standing friendship of over 25 years and a strong creative partnership.

Music has always been a part of Tijn’s life. From an early age he developed a passion for mixing, later refining his skills on vinyl after being introduced to the underground club scene. Now working digitally, his style is known for dark bass-heavy energy that reflects his deep roots in the genre. While music has remained a passion rather than a full-time career his talent and ear for sound continue to stand out.

Alongside his musical side, Tijn is a skilled web application developer working professionally in IT. Recognising the limitations of the previous platform he took the initiative to design and build the Twisted website from the ground up—delivering the high-quality platform you see today.

An integral part of the team, Tijn’s dedication skillset and loyalty have helped shape the foundation of Twisted. As the brand continues to grow he remains a key figure behind the scenes with a shared vision of one day building the project into something even bigger together.

Vin

Senior Admin - Promoter

Vin (DJ Jekz) officially joined Twisted in January 2026, bringing with him a deep-rooted passion and extensive knowledge of the Drum & Bass scene. However, his journey with the brand began earlier having worked alongside Indulgence With a Twist since 2024 supporting its growth and ethos in the lead-up to its next chapter.

Now stepping into a more integral role Vince works as both an admin for Twisted Magazine and a promoter for the brand helping to drive its expansion and strengthen its presence within the scene.

As the owner of The Drum and Bass Bible, Vince is now collaborating more closely than ever with Twisted with both brands joining forces to push the culture forward, champion emerging talent and build a stronger more connected community.

A huge supporter of MIND and wider charity work Vince is passionate about using music as a positive force for change and giving back wherever possible.

Colin

Sound Engineer

Colin has been a core part of the journey since 2019, originally working with Indulgence With a Twist and playing a key role in shaping the brand’s sound and identity. Now stepping into the next chapter with Twisted, he takes on the role of Sound Engineer and Head of Sound leading the technical delivery across all events.

The sonic mastermind behind the scenes, Colin is also the creator of the legendary Twisted Rig—a custom-built sound system designed to deliver power clarity and a distinct hard-hitting character. With a deep-rooted passion for raw high-impact audio, he combines technical expertise with a no-nonsense perfectionist approach that has earned him a reputation as both a master of his craft and a bit of a mad genius.

Whether he’s engineering a live set in an intimate venue or fine-tuning every detail in a large-scale event space, Colin’s focus is always the same—capturing the raw energy of a performance and making it truly felt.

When he’s not behind the sound desk or knee-deep in cables you’ll find him constantly testing, building and evolving new ideas—because for Colin, sound isn’t just something you hear… it’s something you feel.

E Dappa

Admin - Promoter

Mark (E Dappa) has been part of the journey since day one working with Indulgence With a Twist as an artist across multiple disciplines as an MC, producer and DJ. A respected and consistent presence within the brand, he has played a key role in its growth and community.

In 2026 Mark stepped into a new role within Twisted, joining the admin team as a promoter. A strong advocate for the Up & Comer Awards he is also a dedicated mentor for MCs helping guide and support the next generation of talent.

Passionate about giving back, Mark is deeply committed to supporting the community and the charitable causes Twisted stands behind using his experience and platform to make a positive impact.

Dribbz

Twisted Magazine Column Writer

Dribbz joined the Twisted team in January 2026 as a writer for Twisted Magazine having been part of the family since 2024 as an artist. A multi-genre UK MC, known for his work across Hip Hop and Drum & Bass, he began his journey on pirate radio at just 15 and now performs at raves and festivals nationwide.

Alongside his music career Dribbz releases Hip Hop projects supported by BBC Music Introducing earning a loyal and growing fan base. He is also a passionate advocate for men’s mental health contributing a powerful monthly column to Twisted Magazine that raises awareness and inspires open conversation.

As both an artist and writer, Dribbz brings authenticity insight and purpose to the Twisted brand.
