Building a genuine underground community rather than chasing mainstream trends. Connexions Club is about giving DJs, MCs and producers a platform. * Birmingham’s underground music scene, especially its Drum & Bass, 140, Grime, Jungle and UK Bass culture. * Creating opportunities for others. You’ve put on MC cyphers, booked local talent, promoted up-and-coming artists and tried to help people get noticed. * Keeping the culture authentic. You’ve often preferred raw, minimal, underground sounds and visuals over polished commercial styles.
